One of the main offerings of any casino is the slot machine. If you gamble and have used the so-called “one-armed bandit” it is good to remember some rules to get the most entertainment out of your visit whether you win or lose.
Here are a few rules to remember:
1. Never, ever, ever gamble to make money.
If I could, I would make this a commandment.
Do not, in any of your planning, include what you expect to win. I don’t care how good a gambler you are, gambling is never a sure thing, otherwise, it would not be called “games of chance”.
Your casino visit is a form of entertainment. Plan on how much you will gamble as if you will lose it all. The issue of what to do if you win I will discuss later in the article.
2. Never take an organized trip to the casino unless there are other activities there.
A friend of mine told me how much he hated to see usually elderly men and women show up to the casino for a day trip and spend all day putting money into a slot machine. They are there until the bus leaves hours after arrival and do nothing but “feed a machine.”
